First Grade
What is LEARNING Lab 507?
Learning Lab 507 is a program that was designed in 2015 by me, while teaching first grade at Ruby Bridges Elementary school in Alameda, CA. The program invites community members (family members, public officials, local business people, scientists, and artists) to visit the classroom to share information about what they do and to present an integrated learning experience. Ms. Weber will work with each Learning Lab 507 volunteer to design a workshop that includes grade level content and common core standards. The program included all first grade classes in the Lab. Now, we look forward to inviting community members to be part of STEAM projects.
